They did release him eventually. So many issues here: 1. Statute plainly unconstitutional; 2. Judge enjoined it; 3. Cop enforced anyway; 4. Statute didn't apply to citizen; 5. Official version of encounter not credible; 6. FL claims cops state highway patrol so independent not covered by injunction.

State of Florida has now *asked* police to please comply with injunction while promising to purse legal claim police are not bound, and admitting that prosecutors are--thus reducing arrest to either harassment or an invitation to a DHS detainer request.
