Because we gave a custom definition for our psychodrama. The title of Satanist has a ring to it that outsiders have a 'perception' of regardless of Satanist's beliefs. We capitalize on that and our mysticism has worked time and time again. What can I say? LaVey was a carnie, he brings the show 🤷🏾♂️
Mysticism never works. What you're seeing is a function of physics that you don't understand and in your ignorance you believe it's mystical. Assuming you don't have "custom definitions" to all those words.
Physics that isn’t understood (yet) is +/- magic. Believing that the physics we understand now will one day lead to the physics we understand later is +/- “faith.”
Semantics arguments can be shoved right up the ass of the person who made them.
And no, believing that physics discoveries made today will help us make new discoveries tomorrow is just the foundation of scientific research. Special Relativity couldn't exist without Newton's Laws. They expanded it.
Good thing I’m not talking about semantics then. I’m not a fan of ass-play. To each his own, though.
I’m talking about your faith. It’s very simple. “Discoveries” are fun, but until the end is reached they are just entertainment or distraction, or avoidance.
You ARE making semantics arguments. "Magic is just physics we don't understand yet" I agree that is the case, but that's not what CoT weirdos are saying. They're talking about their rituals being magical or mystical in nature.
It's not faith to acknowledge that every scientific discovery is-
Humans have always been programmed for ritualistic activity as a way of dealing with day-to-day issues or life. Satanism acknowledges the power ritual has on us and utilises that while disregarding theism and spirituality, which are not necessary.
Since you said 'psychodrama ≠ magic', many aspects of Satanic magic do fall into the many ways in which we use words like magic/magical, witchcraft, etc. Anything not mundane can be described as magical. Using psychology to 'bewitch' someone (Frank Sinatra's 'Witchcraft'), etc.
Frank Sinatra's song was about attraction. He literally used the term "witchcraft" as a flowery way to describe the way the subject was making him feel. But if challenged he would have said "I don't really believe in magic, I just used the word to make it more special" or some variation of that.
Nailed it! Our trick is that flowery language and flowery aesthetics, or in this case infernal rather than flowery, can have an effect on the way you feel and that in turn can affect action. We ALSO would try to explain that we don't actually believe in magic, though some love to commit to the bit
Yeah, it shows that we call many things magical, witchcraft, etc. because they capture a more nuanced and/or emotional sentiment to things above the mundane. You're being far too strict and literal.
Vast majority of archaeological sites and artefacts being ritualistic in nature. Vast amounts of religion with their ritualistic practices, even to the mundane, like saying 'bless you', wishing on a star, coins & fountains, birthdays, holidays, etc.
Many spells and ritualistic actions from ancient Egypt resemble much of our own modern ritualistic actions and the reasons behind them (protection, healing, anger, love, etc.)
You're talking about sociological phenomenon, not biological phenomenon. There is nothing programed into us that makes us religious. We evolved higher than normal pattern recognition to better survive, that coupled with ignorance created mysticism and then theism.

Two sides of the same coin leading to faith.
