Game #7 | South of Midnight | 2025-04-21
I adored this game's writing, characters (especially Hazel), voice acting, and art style. It's a wonderfully human tale exploring a slice of history not shown enough in media. The gameplay wasn't quite as amazing, but I still had a lot of fun.

DOOM (2016) made me angry less often, but I still had a lot of fun with this. The gameplay is engaging and the world design/soundscape is perfectly dramatic. Almost ready for The Dark Ages, just have to hit the DLC!

This expansion was okay. I liked it less than the main game, which I liked less than DOOM (2016). Maybe it's because I had my fill with the main campaign, but I mostly just wanted to be done with this.

Part Two was a big improvement over Part One for me. I was still happy to finally be done with this game, though (I think it was just too long for my liking). Didn't bother going back to get the last 1% I missed.

I really enjoyed this one! Very British, sorta Fallout-ish survival game with a gorgeous world. Combat was a little meh and I wish the skills were more impactful, but I'm glad I kept this one on the list.

It didn't hook me right away, but once I figured this game out I simply couldn't stop playing.
Narrative, characters, art design, combat, soundtrack — Expedition 33 is a total masterpiece.
... Except for the platforming.

A nice, heartbreaking palate cleanser, this indie game takes a handful of hours to finish, and I absolutely loved it. This is one for the animal lovers.
