Oh! I haven't tried carbon black yet - I tend to watercolor and then ink. Added to the list! My favorite shimmery ink is called Aurora, I forget who makes it. Struggling to get the hang of using a dip pen now, it doesn't work well in my fountain pen.

Yeah I don’t have the patience for a dip pen. My all time favorite pen is my TWSBI Eco. It has a huge ink reservoir and writes so smooth!
