Founding a company that landed a rocket after launch is one of the greatest technical innovations of the 21st century.
Access to space cannot be cheaper because of reusable rockets, any more than alternative energy can ever be economically viable. This is due to the *fundamentals* involved and will not change.
These products make no engineering, let alone economic sense.
And don't get me started on self driving and Hyperloop.
SpaceX can reliably send 3500kg to Pluto.
The cargo/satellites they have sent travel all around in the solar system.
NASA has no human certified spacecraft in active use. SpaceX has.
NASA has no reusable rockets.
No affordable way to launch anything.
...
His dreams about Terra forming Mars are hilarious, considering SpaceX is not capable of going to the Earth's moon.
NASA has been sending stuff to Mars for years.
Promises vs reality
So they fly beyond LEO but not with rockets? WTF?
That does not make any sense.
+Without his money, SpaceX would not exist.
