True question. I prayed hard for trump not to get into office again, what happened? That really made me sit up, and take issue. Why would this kind of evil be permitted to engulf us when God, is our protector?

But God also gives us grace and mercy. If enough people repent (change their mind, make a different choice), we can do a u-turn sooner rather than later. God is a God of second and third and however many it takes chances. We just have to choose Life.
Repent of what? I thought Jesus died for our sins. Didn't he do a good enough job? Does Christ need to come back and try it again? Grace and Mercy, yes. God doesn't judge us for our mistakes. God judges our hearts. Men judges us for our mistakes.
I think you'd agree that when we worship false idols (people, money, fame, whatever) and put them in the place of God, we've headed off in the wrong way and it leads to nothing but a dead end. We need to repent and do a u-turn to get back to the right place.
But don't you think it's a tad bit egotistical for you to tell anyone they need to repent? Who are you? And by what authority are you able to judge? God alone has insight to judge our hearts, not our bodies.
Why preach repentance when we have the UNconditional love of God? We don't have the authority to bring people to repentance. Our job is to point people to God, who will ensure salvation. Telling folks they need to repent is sour. Telling them God loves them no matter what, is honey.
We all have to examine our own hearts and answer for our own actions. My call is going out to the church body. In this instance, I am speaking what God has asked me to speak. Anything less would be disobedience. God will provide confirmation in the hearts of those who need to respond.
Nothing to do with salvation. Repent is basically turning around. Like when your GPS sees that you're heading in the wrong direction and tells you to make a u-turn.
No, God gives us our free will and He honors our choice. Over and over again, we are told "Choose ye this day", "I set before you life and death, choose life", etc. He will abide by our choice. I know you and I didn't choose Trump, but most did.
I'm not certain that most did, I think the election was rigged. trump said it so much last time that we are weary to say it now. But I understand your point. I believe God abides by our choices, but a good father knows when mistakes will cause harm and intercedes.
