I'd like these pancakes more if they put on more maple syrup, but ugh, they're too sweet now, maybe they could use more butter.

I can't eat plain pancakes anymore. Gotta have some blueberries in there or apple compote on top. I'm older and just being made of buttermilk don't cut it anymore.

And if it's a waffle, I need a different syrup on each quadrant. I'm not a rudimentary, one-syrup guy anymore.

Pancakes just aren’t cool, that’s the perception out there. Waffles are cool. Crepes are cool. Maybe if pancakes reached out to more well-known breakfasts like Cheerios or a banana & cigarette.
