Until clubs are in charge of their own cashflow, and NOT reliant on Union money for such a large part of their income, the sport will not develop.

But there’s no competition platform to do that, and that’s the issue that needs urgent attention, if independent clubs have any chance of surviving in the UK.
And of course, Unions largely control which competitions are allowed.

The road map from here to somewhere else is what’s not clear.
First step has to be the clubs wanting to take control. Not sure if they do, TBH. At least not enough to rock the boat.

It was fine until they peddled the 3 region agenda and flat out said, yeah we can’t get rid of Cardiff but if it was a team out west then fuck em.

GRO made a good point about certain fans (not all) being humbled by the experience
