Man, the death of twitter has been abrupt. I figured it would wither a bit more, but it’s really just a ghost town these days. Some dedicated posters, a lot of people splitting time between sites, but what a wild shift.

I feel like that its downfall was accelerated by the US Election, with Elon promoting so many right-wing talking points, and the endless horde of blue-checkmark reply bros just made it almost impossible for any sort of discussion.
They were out of control, and you are right, I have not seen you tell anyone to go fuck themselves here in the clear blue sky! Actually, that's the first time I swore over here. Lol
I know more than a few people who deleted their Twitter accounts on the evening of the 5th. While I haven't spent much time here lots of people I know are saying the vibes are much better.
Only reason I haven't deleted is because my account there is historically linked to other sites professionally and on the off chance someone else picks up my username I don't want that trouble, but the account is private now. Also it's a 15 year old account.
I am just revelling in how bluesky right now is like walking into a friendly neighbourhood coffee shop and seeing some friends. Twitter for the last little bit has been like the Granville strip at 3 a.m. with a scary amount of coke and meth and men who just want to scream at you.
I’ve actually had more interactions than ever over there but they are all with terrible people. So here I am where the cool kids are. WAY better vibes here.
Elon kissing up to the angry cheeto and the recent news of X potentially merging with Truth Social are both driving forces for people to look for a new home. I will keep X for now but I could see myself getting rid of X forever. If the merger with Truth happens I'm gone from there for good
I was ready to abandon X when Mush bought Twitter. I started by opening a Threads account but it seemed like Insta w/o all the photos. Opened Bluesky when there was about 1.5M users but people weren’t ready to give up on it.
I expect by January most politicians will at least be cross posting here. I think big communities like sports and entertainment haven’t made the jump yet.

I don't think it's going away anytime soon.
He, of course, can afford to squander 10's of billions on his personal vanity. They might not be so forgiving.
