The last two leaders of the NDP haven’t even really been well liked even within the party. Mulcair won with 48% Jagmeet with 53% and yet here we are.

That's a terrible metric, I hope you realize. Having a competitive leadership election is not an indicator that people don't like any given candidate. You can't point to leadership election results being not Assad level of blowout and take that to mean people didn't like the winning candidate.

Okay well having worked on ndp campaigns in multiple ridings many people within the party have been complaining for multiple campaigns anecdotally and I’m really not sure what your point is.

There was not “such excitement for multiple candidates” there was “no unified support behind one candidate”

Jack kind of started this rightward trend. He was charismatic and probably the party's only real chance up to now for a real prime minister, but what we're seeing is the logical conclusion of his policies.

I'm hoping the obliteration of the NDP as a party leads to some serious soul searching.

Wow, I was going to vote for my local ndp, but this... This is unacceptable, the ndp have lost the plot, they are just liberal lite, why shouldn't I just vote for the Liberal candidate who has a better shot at winning?

The ONDP is the perfect example. They threw Sarah Jama out like garbage the second she projected actual values. They are done, provincially and federally unfortunately I think unless something changes soon.
