Even back 2015 I had more faith in the NDP then I do now. Even with hand full of mps (much like the liberals) it’s hard not to see the current NDP as a part anything more than all talk now.

My 20yo daughter enthusiastically spent her $200 ford rebate on an NDP membership. She's utterly dismayed by the leadership and is actually excited about Carney. Madness. It's clear that things need to change after this election, if NDP is to become a viable party.

It's very disappointing. I don't particularly like the Liberals or agree with them but how am I supposed to be excited about NDP when they're lost somewhere in the fog. I'd love to see a proposal like Norway's oil royalties, or something similar.

I would too, but worry that the NEP implosion has made it a third rail. Even though it saved jobs through a global slump, it still ended the LPC for a time. I hope Canadians can now see that Alberta is just a big whiner who can never be made happy and we need to rise above their petty grievances.

I think the NDP learned the wrong lessons from 2011 when they became the official opposition for the one and only time. Instead of realizing that their historic seat count was due to external factors, they thought that tacking more to the centre would help them with the big prize. It did not.
