With how many years of R&D? You are completely missing my point and not being realistic. Batteries just don't get developed overnight. Do you know anything about the industry and products available?

Well in fact I do. I worked in this field for some years and have qualifications in on grid and off grid solar power.
I know work has been done in the development on lithium battery systems in WA as I recall.
I don’t see any impediment in this space for Aust products - only investment

I don't think there is an impediment to future development of batteries here. It makes perfect sense. Let's just not confuse current facts with one's emotions about an individual.

I can assure you there is absolutely no confusion about who Elon Musk is and the potential damage he can do here. There is ample evidence of this.
It’s nieve to suggest we should discard these facts and dangers when allowing one of his businesses to establish a foothold here.
