Aside from the fact that OP’s original said "WWII," which means anywhere from 1939 to 1945, the Allies did bomb camps. Elie Wiesel recounts it in Night when he was at a sub camp of Auschwitz, Buna. I will say that the aerial photos of Auschwitz-Birkenau that were released in the late 1970s really
