Presidents lead the executive branch, they do not prosecute anyone. That’s the role of the judiciary. Just because trump violates his role and interferes in the judiciary doesn’t mean other presidents should take part in corruption.

Again, that’s the role of the judicial branch.

The judicial, legislative, and executive branches are separate for a reason. Trump abused his role in his first term, that doesn’t make it right.

Isn’t the attorney general’s office part of the executive branch? Doesn’t the AG prosecute? The courts provide a forum and enter a judgment, but they don’t act as a prosecutor.

Even the DoJ, with its head appointed by POTUS, is supposed to be independent of the executive branch. Again, trump felt/feels like he can act like a dictator. It’s still wrong.
