A punishment for looking at an Israeli and a Moroccan product and buying the Moroccan one is going to be basically impossible to do. A punishment for talking about it openly and advocating for it is something they probably could push, even if only to harass, intimidate, and silence with the threat.

I don't think they mean it to be enforceable so much as used as a tool to threaten, jail or fine pro-palestine opposition. That said it could be used as a precedent in retaliatory court cases involving unrelated boycotts like Musk and Twitter ads. Slippery slope.

The current administration wants to suppress the right to free speech, free press, and freedom of/from religion. The ability to boycott is an extension of all those freedoms because you are expressing them through spending. This isn't something any healthy society would even consider.

Many have pointed out this is impossible to enforce on an individual level. Yes, but that's not the point. It sets precedent to target companies openly supporting Palestine but could also be used to jail vocal protestors who haven't committed any real crimes. Anti-American activities vibes.
