Don’t have time to read the article at the moment (will definitely read later) but I’ve had the same thoughts, especially after reading/listening to the likes of Paris Marx and Ed Zitron. I work(ed) in tech and just searching for a job that doesn’t enable the “rot economy” is a tiresome endeavor.

As far as the software and base hosting/infra goes, sure, there are tons of options.

If you don't want to do any sysadmin stuff, pay someone you trust to help you figure out what you want/need/can do with your budget, set it all up for you, and then periodically do a bit of maintenance

It definitely can exist! I've been working on something similar for myself. WordPress can definitely fit the bill especially with a handful of plugins for security, caching etc

probably I would find some cheap shared hosting for static sites that minimised how much sysadmin you need to do. or host on github pages, though your criteria might rule github out
