Not even like a household! Someone on Jon Stewart’s podcast put it really well: government exists for corporations CAN’T (or shouldn’t) do. Like public infrastructure, fire prevention, health care, catching people when they fall. Governments can afford to do things in a way even households can’t.
Yes, because any “smart” corporations would focus on parts of the business that are profitable. Govs should be focusing on things that are needed (and often not profitable) in order to fill the gaps and support their communities

When Canada has privatized our crown corps(Government corporations that invested in the things that weren't always profitable) they always end up not working as well/the same. And that is for the reasons that post suggest and your comments continue to strengthen.
The "Send via direct message" tool is invaluable in attempting to share media to someone in direct messages because you can't import media directly to DM's on bluesky, as I understand it. We gotta keep learning or these kiddos will think we are past it.
