One of my fave movies and it's a shame that it's so overlooked/underrated and imo best Todd Haynes movie

I'd rewatch it so often and find new bits of it that I had missed before

Also remember there used to a be a live journal which went in insane detail about all the references of the outfits

The journalist pursuing the story about the successful man who’s a mystery and the unfolding story through interviews and leads are the common elements. Also, that the success was largely due to a controlling other person and that he lost something of himself is also something else in common.

Music in the film consists of actual period music of Roxy Music and Brian Eno and covers of their music (and that of Iggy Pop), and music of Lou Reed and others, along with a few originals like “The Ballad of Maxwell Demon” by Shudder to Think & by Pulp, Teenage Fanclub, and Grant Lee Buffalo.
