Your list of things "for women" only lists stereotypically "girly" genres. What about those of us who make games for women that fall outside those stereotypes? How do we demonstrate that 55% of our players are women, which is not something that Itch tracks?

Many games are centered around male protagonists and are designed with a masculine perspective. Therefore, our event has been curated to highlight games that are more female-friendly, such as those with a higher percentage of female players or featuring female protagonists.

While our 55% criterion isn't strictly statistical data, if you can confidently say that your game is designed with women in mind when describing it to the public, then it's eligible for WGF. For example, your game, "Surradia," appears to be a good fit for our event.

If a game lets you pick the pronouns of the protagonist, would that count? Or do they exclusively have to be female protagonists?

I also have a few fantasy games with female protagonists and the story is about their journey, but not sure if they would have this 55%of female audience rule covered.

Basically, the only game I can say is 100% thought for a female audience is 'Hummingbird's Crown'.

My other games are "anyone can play them" but most have a female protag or the gender can be chosen (except for my game 'Azure Flame', which is an asexual BL story).

Would they still count?

If the story is focused on women or has a female-gaze then it would be acceptable. Your games all look to be eligible.

Hey there! This looks great and we are super interesting, however I saw a disclaimer saying you are not eligible if your build contains "adult content". Could you clarify what that entails? Are we talking p0rn or just simply mature sexual situations or something else entirely?
