I get the point, he can’t be blamed for his injuries and he’s our best finisher when fit. The problem is his availability has been poor for a while. He’s missed 92 games in the last 4 seasons. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he is moved on at the end of the year
How many games missed through impact injuries as opposed to muscle injuries though? I read back along that he’s out most targeted player. He has a small frame up against most CB’s. Also there’s the question if he was be sold, would the a club replace him adequately enough?
I think it’s a mix, some hamstring and knee issues and some knocks, not his fault but he’s just much less robust than others even of a similar size - Think Mane and Salah. If Jotas availability improves great, if not Gyokeres, Boniface or Sesko could all be good in our system but all very expensive
