It will never cease to amaze me that people keep breeding animals that had their careers cut short due to issues (with conformation or otherwise) that are hereditary. Especially when they have the audacity to act surprised when the progeny of these animals experience issues themselves.
It's not like there aren't a plethora of talented and proven sires who stayed sound over long careers to choose from. And yet everyone seems to flock to the shiny new undefeated freshman sire who retired after 3 starts due to having horrifically bad feet or w.e. other issue.
