It’s a cool tournament because teams from the lesser league get to participate. But it also means that a lot of best teams don’t really try because it takes away from they main in season goals.
In their last 11 seasons in the Premier League since getting promoted, they've never finished higher than 10th or lower than 15th out of 20 teams. There are plenty of jokes out there about they are the most consistently mediocre team imaginable, despite occasionally producing some great players.
Yeah, Crystal Palace is very much like the Sixers in that they are very consistently mediocre. The difference is no one gets their hopes up for CP, except for this random run they're making at the FA Cup (in-season tourney people care about is as good an analogy as you can make)
Named after the Crystal Palace built by Prince Albert for the Great Exhibition in 1851! It's a shame the building didn't last, or else it too could house a children's museum
