Zack Polanski was previously a loud zionist who attacked Corbyn and those on the left in Labour over fake antisemitism, and who backed the ludicrous take up of the IHRA defination/examples of "antisemitism" which were used to do that.

I've seen it. It's not remotally reassuring. He does not address the backing of the IHRA definitions _at all_ and on his previous slander of Corbyn (and the Labour left) all he does is say "Oooops, sorry, I made a mistake".

Would you believe Starmer if he said "oops sorry, I made a mistake" now?

Thanks for your reply, I'm sorry you didn't find it reassuring. I don't think I've ever heard Starmer admit to making a mistake, in my view it takes strength of character to do so. I admire Zack apologising with regards to JC, showing Zack to be a potential leader led by wisdom rather than ego 💚

BY DEFINITION the state of Israel provides preferential treatment to one group over others. If not racist, it's clearly somethingist.

Why would you _legislate_ against truth, if not to prevent truth.

The IHRA definitions lists many "examples" which prevent legitimate criticism of Israel. It prohibits "comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis." IF such comparison is TRUE, why would it be legislated against. Why should criticism or comparison be ILLEGAL if true?

Re 2) There is no singular "Jewish community" in Labour. That is an antisemitic statement, suggesting all Jews are of one mind. You might like to rephrase.

There were large numbers of Jews in Labour at the time pointing out the fallacies presented by such as the BoD and Labour Friends of Israel.

as for 4) The problem with the IHRA definition is the examples that went along with it, which should never have been used as legislation. The person who wrote the IHRA definition said they should never be used as legislation. They were pushed into legislation purely to weaponise fake accusations.

3 is just bullshit. The only way you could possibly believe that is if you were actively trying to misunderstand. Corbyn was _entirely clear_ that antisemitism was not acceptable. But heh, just repeat the bullshit the right wing were spreading at the time, and see how that works for you.
