I went to art school & all it did was discourage me from pursuing art. Teachers were stuck & uninspired, fellow students cared more about looking good, bullying & taking drugs instead of creating and collaborating. Walked out of there without a single connection, no job & much poorer than before.

Ppl seem to think that going to important art college = a job. I don't believe that's true. You'll make some connections in college that might help. But NO ONE has ever cared whether I went to Calarts or not. Most people probably don't know. You get a job through networking and your portfolio.

I wonder if it'd be the same with doing college for language learning and cultural stuff related to it?
I don't regret it as much that I spent 3 years there, but that might be because my education was free at the time.
That diploma would have helped me to get in to corporate jobs and seeing what that does to people. No thanks.
I went to a regular public uni/college thing that had a game design class that didn't teach game design.
It's all so tragically scammy
