A few years ago I came across Piotr Wozniak's research on interval selection. X's algorithms made it difficult to interact with thinking people. Glad to be able to engage with deep thoughts. https://ane.pl/index.php/ane/article/view/1003/1003
There's actually a study I heard about that measured this, and it does have a heavy-tailed distribution from the scale of minutes to years that's well-fit by a power law
I've thought about this sometimes. It was maybe easier in the times where people would just store letters they received in a box and someone could go through it all when they died.
As a society, I don't know if we have really decided what should happen to your digital life after you pass.
I try to emphasize to email me in the moring during a normal office day. My OCD can't leave an email unread but I can't always(and purposely don't if off hours) reply. My adhd then wins and I'll get to it eventually.
