I bought my first electric motorcycle in December 2015. I thought many would immediately follow suit. I was wrong. Change is slow. Folks are reluctant to leave what they know for something new. But slowly people are changing their chip.

2014 Renault Zoe. 22kWh battery. Range is 100km. Battery is part of antiquated leasing program. So in theory I will get a new battery when degradation goes below 85%.
Renault ceased the leasing program several years ago. When the car first came out, it was uncertain how long the batteries would last. I pay 69β¬ per month. It turns out to be like battery insurance. I didnβt have a choice. Renault makes several EVs. They arenβt available in the US.
I bought one of the smaller zeros a couple of years ago. It's got a range of about 120miles. It's great for running into town and around town, it'll comfortably reach the speed limit. But it's not suitable for touring. I like it but still need conventional bike(s) as well
Touring, vacations or road trips whether by car or motorcycle require special consideration. My EV car is 11 years old with a range of 62 miles. If I ever take a vacation with greater distances, I will go by train or rent a vehicle.

So you just lease the battery? Or how does that program work?
