People SHOULD switch when a new platform is available that is worthwhile (I was a cohost user lmao), but just up and deleting everything by taking a reskeeted headline at face value is just stupid as hell.

But also people should know the limitations, they are different apps entirely.

I am going to be real with you almost every single platform has its flaws. I just choose not to go to the one that obviously caters to the right wing discord is clearly not much better, but it at least has the decency to hide it. Telegram is open about their hatred

Hi, its not panic reacting. It just sucks and people are understandably upset with telegram adding grox to it, even IF its only relegated to premium. Im not running to signal just yet, but its definitely an option. Just like bluesky was for a bit.

You can find them but you can't search for them, if that makes sense. Which for a lot of people is a good thing but it also means you need to actively send them that information somewhere else.

Which again is fine, just need people to stop exploding and making rash decisions off of headlines. 😮‍💨

I did test and sadly sticker packs cannot be edited still nor are there public chats, however Signal has recently added username support and no longer requires sharing a phone number to start chatting with someone.

I am trying to transition to it for individual PMs for peace of mine, personally.

Personally I don't care if we go back to RSS or some shit instead of channels, IRC chats for groups, and forums for discussions.

But please, please, when making a decision that works for you please give time for your friends to adapt.

I don’t imagine it is, it’s more than likely a tech demo that xAI is running to show off how it can be integrated into other products (because that’s where the current revenue streams come from with AI companies [API & subs])

Yeah, it's a premium feature that is at best right now just another chat bot.

Certainly something to be wary of but it's not a make or break. I only left Twitter when it became actively hostile, not when blue was added.
