Whenever there is a big furry convention that is covered by the news, it's usually also done in a respectful manner. Different story would be social media obviously, even if a post is very neutral- a lot of boomers will comment that it's a mental illness 🙄

I have actually never seen anything about furry conventions on German media, but maybe they just don’t talk about them in my rural area since there are none nearby.
My personal experience is, that no one here over the age of 35 knows what a furry is^^
