The song Echo Beach was honoured as a music venue at Ontario Place in Toronto. Since then, the Conservative government of Doug Ford has sold off much of the property to a private business and demolished most of the heritage features of the site. Shame.

Ottawa's Echo Drive runs along the Rideau Canal. It's one of our regular walking routes. But of course, WE refer to it as "Echo Beach", and MUST sing the song every time that we get to that leg. Accompanying dance moves optional, but highly recommended. I'll sing it with even MORE gusto now! 😁
