This is for the best, the water fountains are too hard to clean anyway

We started using a short glass and filling it with fresh water and she will drink from that too. But we refill it constantly to keep it fresh

I have to leave a drip in my bathtub at all times or my cat would just turn into an adorable little raisin, I guess.

I have bought three different fountains now, and he does not care. I keep buying new filters for the latest one even though he hasn't touched it in a year. Hope springs eternal.

The last time I used the tub, the faucet dripped for a couple weeks. Cat loved it and was so annoyed when I fixed it.
Still jumps in to check and see if it has started dripping again.

My latest cat would only drink out of the watering can by dipping in her paw then licking it. Had another cat that refused the watering bowl after we moved it to a different part of the kitchen and drank from the sink instead

Yes. One thing w the fountain: if it made any noise, she ignored it. So i had to keep it full. Did i also leave the slightest trickle on in the bathroom sink after she was diagnosed w kidney dz? Yes. Got 19 yrs together and still miss her terribly.

😂 Jets 😆 Is the fountain plastic? If so that could be it. Get a metal or ceramic one. If you have bowls of water, no plastic. Again use big ceramic ones. Wash daily.

This was the fix for me too, little bastard (I love him) wouldn’t give up his fixation on the sinks until I had multiple ceramic fountains all over. He won’t drink out of plastic or chrome, but isn’t as picky about the cleaning schedule.

We have been struggling with this... He has a fountain but prefers sink water. And has loud opinions on his preference. We haven't found the solution yet. So, frustrated solidarity over here.
