The weather is typically one of those “safe” topics…small talk fodder that’s free from politics.

SO many Americans are tuned out of politics. It’s important to find ways to educate them in seemingly apolitical spaces.

You would think but that’s not been my experience. I was not alone in not being able to access critical information because of outages. I moderate on the neighborhood app & people were still defending everything about the administration when people brought this point up. I keep trying in hope

I was certainly flying blind today during a tornado warning. My cable went out so tv meteorologists weren’t available. My weather apps would not work on 5g for some reason & that had NEVER happened before. I had no idea if I was about to die or not. Here in Oklahoma we need all resources possible!

As a resident of Florida, this if frightening. Without advance warnings many will die. Advance warnings give people the opportunity to secure their property and prepare with non perishable foods and clean drinking water, etc. The National Weather Service and NOAA give us a lifeline in so many ways.

Nope. FL and the red states voted for this 💩. God’s will, thoughts and prayers. I lived 20 minutes away from Dawson Springs, KY and 5 tornadoes in 4 years is god’s work with the largest Klan compound in existence & Jesus 2024 signs for a NAZI.

It’s a storm of incompetence. Now they want to hire 100 new employees, or old ones back, and assign them to specific locations.
