This is system transformation in action.
A government report confirmed that the blackout was caused by a voltage surge not properly controlled by fossil gas and nuclear plant operators. These operators are paid to manage voltage. On the day of the blackout — they failed.
💡 It allows renewables to help manage voltage and get compensated for doing so — ending fossil gatekeeping of essential grid services.
