Hats off to you! By the time we are 30 we have had something like 5 million minutes of exposure to our mother tongue and we are hard on ourselves when our 15 mins Duolingo doesn’t give us the same results I’ve done Spanish for 25 years and love it but also hate it sometimes hah
Oh I loved it. It was great because I felt I could make a lot of progress in a small amount of time once I understood the basics. Remembering which tone went with which hanzi was a pain in the butt haha but other than that, I love Mandarin 🙂
