The CEO of Wal-Mart talking about raising prices because of tariffs when he made 27 million dollars last year annnnnnd his name is Doug McMillion is a sign that the writers are running out of ideas.

Journalism as we all KNEW it... died just about 2015. Media discovered that sensationalism was landing in their laps and that's all they needed: outrageous headlines, day after day, and it was all there. Served to them on a platter. So it's gone now.
Hey, he didn't get rich paying the employees adequate wages and charging reasonable prices, y'know! Like the robber barons of the early 1900s and the vulture capitalists of recent years, his motto is, "Get the poor into a vulnerable position and squeeeeeze."
You're right. Remember how prices went up during Covid due to supply shortages? And here we are...Walmart could absorb some of the cost but they're not going to. And Walmart won't be alone. This is going to get worse.
Exactly. Manufacturing of overseas to maximize profits. Tariffs are a tax on consumers, and manufacturing is NOT retuning to America. All about profits. Even 47’s products are made overseas. That’s fascism. Wake up.
Trump's response? He warns them & tells them to just "eat the tariffs" & not pass it on to consumers. That's not how business works. I smell B.S. https://share.newsbreak.com/d4j4m3gd?s=i16
Well good god, you can't expect a man to scrape by on 20 million, what ever would he do? Of COURSE the little people must be screwed again, it's like the new laws of physics. No more is it true that what goes up must come down.
Walmarts profit margin is only about 3%. They need volume to make such profits. That will not continue with tariffs. This will affect their lowest paid employees the most. We need to address income inequality in this country.
If they weren’t out of ideas they wouldn’t be stealing the script straight from the pages of popular sci-fi. War crime Barbie is organizing the first Hunger Games for crying out loud.

Just watch, if tariffs vanish, their prices aren't going down
Also, that figure is about 1/1000 of the company's annual net income....
Now, he can do something else with his life. That doesn't remove culpability.
But it's the system that causes this. Not any one man.
