Recently was sent an instant DM begging for help because I wrote an arbitrary dollar amount in one of my posts (I know bc the account also liked the post before the DM). Their *entire account* was just to message people begging for money, and it was so clear that they were using a bot to do so.

They were a war refugee and if they were legitimate then I get it — they’re desperate. But it left a really bad taste in my mouth, especially because I’m unemployed myself and currently have $200 in my name with five figures of debt. Like, I am not in any position to help others financially 😐

I understand--believe me, I understand--wanting to get the word out about your fundraiser especially if the situation is dire.

But please take a moment to read the bio of the person you are tagging, before tagging them. A person who says right there in their bio that they are ill is not a good tag.
