I guess it would depend on how much time I have. When I worked on Vidi I just designed it all at once in a T-pose since we only had two weeks. With more time I'd probably iterate on it more before committing it to a ref sheet.

I meant, if we're interested in a 3D piece what manner of references should we provide?
Would regular images and/or sketches still be workable or would you need a specific kind of asset?

Oh you misunderstand. I'm not saying I do 3D models, I'm saying I have some experience doing ref sheets for 3D models.
