Morning! Bank holiday #SundayMorningBookChat which stand-alone book would you love a sequel for… get tagging the authors… it might be the nudge they need 😂 mine would be Orion Lost by @alastairc.com one of my favourite sci-fi children’s books ever!

Happy to join your campaign for Alastair to write more sci-fi! I remember wanting a sequel to Wildspark by Vashti Hardy because I really liked the world she had built. #SundayMorningBookChat
It's not a stand-alone as @slatterymr.bsky.social asked but wouldn't it be fantastic to have another one! I miss Sally Jones!
PS sorry for late reply...I thought I'd posted it one🤦🏻♀️
Great question! I’m going to suggest another @alastairc.com book with Reek. It has an astounding level of world building for such a short book and I would love to spend more time in it.
I'm reading I Am Wolf to my class right now by Alastair and honestly you could hear a pin drop most days. I had them chanting "Wolf, wolf" earlier this week! I'm such a fan of everything he writes, and it's great to have a Scottish author to promote to pupils too!
Orion Lost’s a brilliant story - would happily read a Book 2 to that. Wildspark by Vashti Hardy definitely needs a sequel and I know there are many others who’d agree with that, Tom! x

The Middler by Kirsty Applebaum is a standalone book that I'd love to have more of. A prequel would be good.
