Yup. We are still comparing a street bike (Panigale V4 base model) to a race bike (Ducati V21L MotoE bike), but the electric bike is really starting to get into the same ballpark of an ICE bike. Significant step. - ThreadSky

Yeah, the race bike version is 168kg when you take all the excess bits off. But, I imagine in 5 years or so as battery tech advances that we will see MotoE (if it's not been dropped in favour of Baggers) will be lighter and able to do more laps.

Baggers and MotoE will alternate. And Baggers are only there as a marketing exercise by Harley-Davidson, so no idea how long it will last.

They do have a fundamental problem, in that their customer base is older than me (and I am old) and are dying off. They need to find new customers.

This is great news. One day all the dinosaurs will realise in a few years there will be no fossil fuelled racing, and they'll have to find something else to moan about...
