Seeing the Grabber skating on ice with an axe is the perfect blend of campy comedy and genuine dread in the vein of A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 3: DREAM WARRIORS, and it works so well here. Can't wait.
What astounded me about the first film was that the color palette invoked memories of growing up in the 1970s. I get the same 80s colors I remember in the trailer. (Am I just imagining things?)
Isn't it scary enough that you even still have this landline phone in your house from what looks like the 1960's? That time warp terror itself terrifies π¨ me to death π
It reminds me of that vintage commercial that pops up on youtube for maxwell house. Old Cora the country store owner keeps having her 60 year old clock fixed. Boy tells her to trash it because it's "old as the hills".. Cora says "Like old Maxwell House Coffee, If it Still Works, Don't change it" π
Looks Impressive π It seems to have that imagery that made Derrickson's original masterpiece "SINISTER" so disturbing and brilliant. Here's keeping my fingers π€ that it will be better than the first Black Phone which lacked "terror"
