Whether LGBT+ or straight, whatever ethnicity etc being totally free to be who we are isn’t always realistic or desirable. Some people’s idea of freedom encroaches on the rights and liberties of others. We must all live in a way which balances our legitimate needs with those of others.

Maybe we should remove the votes for women while we're at it.
However I now realise that the idea that many of us can be free to be who we want to be or that Ed can make that happen touched a raw nerve.
What exactly is the LGBTQ+ community doing that doesn't consider personal responsibility? All they want to do is live their lives with the same dignities and freedoms as everyone else, how is that personally irresponsible?
This morning for me it was much more personal, although I wasn’t aware of it at the time. I didn’t think I’d been fighting regrets etc but they seem to be starting to make themselves felt every now and then.
Everyone should be able to live without prejudice and to have their human rights respected. Dignity and freedom are important too but sadly not always possible. A person’s gender shouldn’t be what prevents them being possible though.
They might encroach on others' prejudices, but the way to overcome that is education.
I’ve been very calm & accepting of my situation but this has sparked anger & regret I hadn’t been aware of.
