And? Most 40 hour a week workers can't support a family by themselves. That's because the price of everything goes up up up (that's called inflation and it's actually not a new thing). Wages have to match that and even the highest state minimums don't come close to reflecting inflation rates
Raise the min wage. A rising tide lifts all boats. Our world is built on subsidizing lifestyles for the Rich and Famous and it's going to get much worse with trump in office.

Exactly. Why would I keep breaking my hands on an assembly line when I could make the same amount of money as a Walmart greeter? Obviously, there is a falloff point; an engineer isn't gonna quit because they could make almost as much as a Lowe's manager. But for the middle class, it'd be a huge boon
