Trump is a corporate raider, but of nations at this point. He sees aid, values and norms as a weakness to gaslight & leverage for quid pro quos. As he tears down his allies for gain, the American kleptocracy is pandemic, ISOLATE this diseased state, BOYCOTT EVERYTHING!
🤣I did visit Moscow and St Petersburg in 2016. Wealthy designer dressed people and their preferred high end shops; expensive cars and busy restaurants were all over. Moscow was a mega Knightsbridge.
My pal bought his first house with money he made as a tour guide with weekly trips to Moscow. He filled his suitcase with Durex to be flogged on the black market. The Russsian for condom translated as " rubber boot" and were ..... reusable
🤣 it certainly helped me understand Russian history. I visited the Kremlin and that place just epitomised what Russia stands for I felt. The Summer Palace near St. Peterburg was built as a bigger and better version of Versailles. It was astonishing.
People in the west tend to think of Russia as some grey, dull backwater made of concrete.
It's really not.
The Moscow Metro being a case in point.
It's only hell if you're poor / don't fit.
We're only four weeks in, it's going to be a complete shit show after 4 year. And that's presuming he doesnt change the constitution, and try to stay in longer.
Trump is changing his relationship with Europe. We should reciprocate. He likes tariffs, so should we.
The UK and Europe is full of US soft power, also known as coffee shops, restaurants and takeaway places. We should apply tariffs on all using money raised for defence & health.
I mean in addition to VAT. Call it whatever, but it should be a tax on foreign (US) operations in our European countries. Just as he's doing to imports to the US.
And I don't have an issue with your suggestion.
He doesn't mind American isolationism, so let's help him achieve it.
Yes, we do.
But I suspect that the CEO's of Costa, Starbucks, Subway, McDonald's, KFC and all the others will have something to say to Trump should these taxes/tariffs be threatened, and ultimately he'll back down.
There is no way Putin didn’t help his desperate puppet win the election, given the fact that the Convicted Felon was facing life in prison without a win. Both despots needed each other.
DT is feral. Which is fine in the wilds of the real estate world. But now he's caged, and surrounded by some smarter beasts. He's snapping at them, but to diminishing effect.
Zelensky really needs to wake up along with many others who seem to think Trump’s a big stupid joke who can be politely humoured as a bit of a joke. He’s a fascist dictator, totally beholden to Putin, who knows exactly the consequences of his actions.
Until Zelensky, Starmer, EU leaders & rest of Western leaders wake up to this fact & stop appeasing him, Trump provides the biggest threat to western/global liberal democracies since Nazi’s.
He needs to fully accept that Trump isn’t going to help Ukraine in the slightest & indeed is doing everything in his power to reward Putin for his invasion. He needs to robustly criticise Trump for his betrayal of Ukraine.
Fair enough & tbf to me I just didn’t single out Zelensky. But that’s the entire point, if any leaders of democratic countries think that ‘muting’ criticism of Trump is anyway going to stop him implementing fascism and/or Putin’s will that will hurt them, don’t think they are paying full attention

Trump never changes if he's not raping women he's threatening to rape independent democratic countries.
Tramp etc are not
I suspect it was a lot different.

Money to go to digital education for children and to government information services.
Don’t give up the fight ‼️
We all know that's zero, but Trump can't get cross without acknowledging as much.
He could, quite rightly, have called Trump all the names under the sun.
Obviously, there is the political expediency of needing weapons from USA as well.
But credit to the guy (again).
