We made several fossil collecting trips to the Crawfordsville Bioherm when i was an undergraduate. It was a long drive from northwestern Wisconsin but so worth it!

Most fossils need some preparation to look like this. I purchased this one as is, but I have a prep room in my basement where I use scribes and powdered limestone to remove the rock matrix.
