It goes without saying that murder is bad, but it’s very interesting watching the timed in which folks decide they want to voice that obvious truth the loudest.

Ah, except it is: if they pray to a different invisible man than you, in which case it says "Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones," and in SEVERAL places actually advocates for wholesale genocide. Getting pretty mixed messages from ol' YHWH there... 1/
Or how about this golden scripture, Ezekiel 9:5-7, where God straight up orders the murder of EVERYONE, including the "little children?"
"Not Exceptional?" You and I must have very different definitions of "exceptional," because God made exceptions to his "thou shalt not kill" rule ALL THE TIME. 2/
Don't just read the feel-good parts, you need to remember the atrocities committed in God's name *IN THE BIBLE* too. Murder of little children. That happened a LOT. Like, A LOT a lot.
"Not exceptional." It's a good thing he's not real, cause he'd be a MONSTER if he were. 3/3
And somehow the kind of murder that happens when people are denied lifesaving treatments to fund some guy’s fourth yacht doesn’t get quite as many handwringing editorials written about it.
Also when people choose to hide behind the law as something that is fixed and unassailable instead of as a constant narrative-based negotiation between the rich and politicians. If everyone had a seat at the table, narratives around morality we're seeing now would align much better with laws
