'Zohran Mamdani, has drawn significant controversy for his defense of the phrase "globalize the intifada." During a podcast interview with The Bulwark, Mamdani was asked about the slogan, which has been widely criticized for its association with calls for violence against Israeli Jews.'
Grassroots doesn’t necessarily mean low income people; grassroots is simply a people-led movement. He had a huge volunteer base spreading the word, knocking on doors, etc.
Has there been any suggestion that low income voters didn’t vote for Mamdani? All I can find is pre-election polls.
You're equating "Black" with "low income" in a blanket fashion. In any case, whoever they are, Mamdani didn't convince nearly enough of them that "he can help with that".
Can’t validate your screenshot, so taking it with a grain of salt.
But like I said grassroots doesn’t mean poor people; most working class people would be in the 50-100k bracket, and most likely be involved in the grassroots organising.
