this is sick and also when you're summarizing V. i cannot tell how intentional you are when you replace "Herbert" with "Will" after you and Julian giggle about it. Either way, it's v. funny
Still say I'd like to sue Paul Thomas Anderson for his adaptation of Inherent Vice - it should've ended with Sauncho Smilax's lawsuit against the studios
Loved this episode! As someone who has only read Inherent Vice from Pynchon, which would you recommend next? I loved PTAs film so that got me interested.
huge huge thank you to Julian, Travis, and Jake for letting me pop off about Tommy Pinecone — QAA is some of the absolute best podcasting out there, I'm very proud to be a part of it, and it's well worth the $5 a month
Vineland is all I've read so far (well, apart from 30 pages of Gravity's Rainbow), but this episode has gotten me excited about bumping Pynchon up to the top of my to-read list . . . again.
Michael Judge's audio essay we discussed was posted to youtube (not sure if with permission) but there is a ton of excellent Pynchon content on Death is Just Around the Corner —
