I wanna be clear - age does not have to be a barrier to meeting the moment. 83 yo Bernie Sanders is recognizing the direction threat of Musk and Trump and barnstorming the country.

Frozen beliefs and attendant hesitancy at any age will not meet this moment. For that reason we need Reform.

I’m 55 and realize that it’s time for 20th century politicians and politics to go. Bernie is great but the future for the Democrats and the country is going to be young politicians under 50. I don’t want so see any Dem running for a new seat in congress be 60+ in 26. Boomers - nothing lasts forever

Trump and Musk are dismantling the Government and Musks 300 million for the Trump campaign, Trump winning with going on dude podcasts etc mean old style politics and ways of doing things traditionally are dead. Rebuilding politics & Govt in the mid21st cannot be tied to how things used to be.

I’d say it’s not so much the physical body, it’s the age of the mindset. That’s why Bernie is still relevant. He moves with the times and can put himself in the lifeplace of his younger constituents. We need fresher ideas, regardless of age.

59 and agree. Yes, there are people who can be an effective spokesperson for the moment who are 65,70,80 years old. RARE exceptions, yet somehow our caucus is very much this demographic. And often there are younger people better suited who are being blocked by someone unwilling to pass the torch..

I’m 69 and totally agree. Some people like Schumer have been entrenched in politics for so long he’s probably done some pretty shady corrupt stuff to still be there. He’s probably compromised AF. Trump has been collecting dirt on people for decades thru his hotels

There's a few of them saying it. That's why Roberts came out and "condemned" it. He used the word "inappropriate", but obviously even he sees that this is a dangerous path.
