I was Emily Koski’s Communications Director. I cannot speak highly enough about her as a human, a leader, and as a candidate. I only at the beginning of telling her story before this campaign ended.

Koski fit all three and Minneapolis just lost a worthy candidate in this race.
That’s why it’s always been hard to label her or pin her down. That doesn’t always sit well with people, but we need to view it as an asset.
If we want candidates who are measured and thoughtful, we need to be as well. We need more nuanced, complex conversations, and a deeper understanding of each other.
It’s even harder to be one running for an executive seat. Too often, ambitious women are punished by being held to different standards and discounted in spite of their resume.
