How strong is the spirit of Wellstone there still? I’m a lifelong Northeasterner, but Wellstone was a folk hero of Bernard Sanders status Amon moderates to far-lefties when I was a Penn State undergrad in the mid-nineties.

I just remember a fellow undergrad—who I think was dual U.S.-Canadian citizen, and an avowed Communist—from MN who wore a Wellstone tee or hoodie everywhere, whose attitude was something like, “Paul’s to the right of me, but he’s fighting for us.”

True. She’s probably going to be in office long after Trump is gone. Only because when things get dicey this summer she’s going to be seen as a part of the Schumer wing who poses no real threat to the regime. Klobuchar will serve her role as spirited “opposition” to keep up the facade of democracy.
