I prefer L. cincinnatus over L. sulphureus. If you want it to "be chicken" you have to prepare it like chicken. Tear into strips, wet batter, & deep fry. Use the same seasonings you use on fried chkn.

“Tastes (nothing) like chicken!” 🤣 it doesn’t have much taste at all, really - at least the ones i’ve tried. Or I should say, it takes on the taste of whatever you cook it in/with it. Like most foraged mushrooms, if it tastes like anything, i find it’s faintly like the smell of loam or rotting wood

I tried some before! They don’t *really* taste like chicken but they have similar enough texture that if you season it like chicken it’ll feel like chicken. I really liked it personally >:)
